In 2019, a pledge was made. Grow Africa found and funded Early Childhood Development teacher, Yolanda Ncube, for Dingani primary school in Dete, Zimbabwe. Having reached out to sponsors for salary support, we received the priceless gift of giving from De Grendel Wine Estate in Cape Town.
Their organization is based on the foundations of impactful and ethical action, ensuring education is available to those beyond the borders of opportunity.
De Grendel not only prize themselves with award winning wines, stocked at our lodges Elephant’s Eye and Nantwich Lodge, Hwange, but with a company ethos that promotes education and equality within disadvantaged communities. Their organization is based on the foundations of impactful and ethical action, ensuring education is available to those beyond the borders of opportunity.
It’s these communities already on the poverty line that face even more difficult times ahead, and every penny counts towards the children of Dete accessing education, and a better future.
