Tips for a Plastic-Free Safari

Plastic has no place on a safari. Besides a pair of binoculars it is actually possible to completely eliminate all plastic, but in particular, single-use plastics can be left behind away from the natural beauty of the bush.

At our lodge Elephant’s Eye, Hwange we have been plastic-free since the very beginning and we like to encourage our guests to follow similar practices, not only with us but back home as well. There are some simple ways travellers can reduce their waste footprint while on safari, for instance removing all plastic wrapping and packaging from items they bring along, as well as a few other clever ideas you can try.
