Safari Itinerary

Chobe & Hwange Hideaway - Victoria Falls Dhow Cruise

Day 1

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Overnight: Ilala Lodge Hotel
This safari starts with a bang or rather a roar, the roar of the mighty Falls that thunder down a cavernous gorge and shoot up a spray of white water that resembles a cloud, or smoke. Experience Mosi oa Tunya, the Smoke That Thunders or Victoria Falls. The town is an excellent starting off point for an African adventure. After settling in at the luxurious Ilala Lodge Hotel and acclimatising to your surroundings, it’s time for an intimate and serene journey along the Zambezi River. Sail into the sunset in an authentic East African dhow, the only one of its kind and a sublime Hideaways experience.

Day 2 & 3

Chobe, Botswana

Overnight: Camp Kuzuma, Chobe
A classic Chobe River cruise welcomes you to Botswana. For the wildlife, the river is the attraction and you are merely given front row seats to the abundant activity in the water and on the banks. After this immersive experience you will carry on to Camp Kuzuma, a true hideaway in the Chobe Region. Located right on the path of a busy Elephant Corridor that passes between Chobe and Hwange, this boutique tented camp provides an exclusive safari in a pristine environment. Besides the breeding herds of elephants, guests can also find wildebeest, buffalo, antelope, sable, giraffe, zebra, lion and leopard in the expansive grassland, natural pans and Mopane tree forests. Here, Hot Air Ballooning is a delightful option for anyone hoping to tick this sensational safari experience off their wish list.

Day 4 & 5

Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

Overnight: Nantwich, Hwange
After an incredibly quick and easy border crossing at Pandamatenga, you arrive at Nantwich only an hour and a half later. This remote escape in Hwange National Park offers true Zimbabwean hospitality and meaningful connections with our engaging staff. Guests are greeted with a personalised G&T as a welcome drink, which they have a hand in creating themselves. This active involvement in your safari experience is a key characteristic of a Nantwich stay. Lions love this part of the park and leopards lurk in the rocky outcrops surrounding the chic chalets. Safari walks and game drives are enlightening experiences that are enhanced by our expert Zimbabwe guides.
