Located in the mountains off the rugged coastline of Cape Town’s southern peninsula, Cape Point Hideaway lies approximately 44 km from Cape Town International Airport, offering a scenic drive through some of the city’s most iconic landscapes.
Please note that the villa is accessed via a 4 km gravel road. Road conditions may vary, particularly after periods of rain. We recommend travelling in an SUV, high-clearance vehicle, or 4×4. Guests travelling in low-clearance vehicles are advised to contact our reservations team before arrival to confirm current road conditions.
Directions
To access the villa, please follow the two Google Maps pins below in order:
Step 1: Navigate to the Kilfinan Farm Main Gate: Access Main Gate Pin
Step 2: Once you have arrived at the Main Gate, switch to the Cape Point Hideaway Villa Pin: Access Villa Pin
Please note: Regardless of whether you are travelling via Ou Kaapse Weg or the False Bay coastline, please do not navigate directly to the Cape Point Hideaway pin, as Google Maps will route you to a neighbouring property rather than the correct access route to the villa.
Route 1: Via Ou Kaapse Weg
From the airport, follow the N2 highway towards Cape Town before taking the M3 south, which winds through leafy suburbs and along the base of Table Mountain. Continue to Steenberg Road and take Ou Kaapse Weg, a mountain pass that offers panoramic views of the Cape Peninsula. As you descend into the valley, join Kommetjie Road (M65) and follow the signs for Scarborough and Cape Point. Turn onto Redhill Road and follow it towards the Baskloof Fynbos Nature Reserve’s entrance, which lies just beyond the village of Scarborough. Drive past the Baskloof Nature Reserve’s entrance, and turn left into the driveway of Kilfinan Farm. At the “No Dogs Allowed” sign, you will see a “farm style” gate with a chain wrapped around (it is not locked). Once you have unchained and opened the gate, passed through and closed it again, proceed straight along the dirt road up the mountain until you reach our Villa.
Route 2: Via Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay
For a more scenic coastal route, from the airport, follow the N2 highway towards Cape Town, then take the M3 south. Exit onto Main Road (M4) and head towards Muizenberg. From here, the road hugs the coastline, passing the vibrant seaside villages of Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay. Enjoy the breathtaking views of False Bay as you continue through Simon’s Town, home to historic naval landmarks and penguin colonies. Follow the signs for Cape Point along the M66, which merges with Redhill Road. Turn right into the driveway of Kilfinan Farm. At the “No Dogs Allowed” sign, you will see a “farm style” gate with a chain wrapped around (it is not locked). Once you have unchained and opened the gate, passed through and closed it again, proceed straight along the dirt road up the mountain until you reach our Villa.
Planning Your Arrival
We recommend purchasing groceries and supplies before arrival. Guests travelling via Ou Kaapse Weg may wish to stop at Longbeach Mall in Sun Valley, while those travelling along the False Bay coastline can find supermarkets and convenience stores in Fish Hoek and Glencairn.
