Wi-Fi is available in the main lodge area, and mobile reception is limited. While guests can stay connected when needed, Mogotlho’s riverside setting naturally encourages time spent watching wildlife, relaxing in camp, and enjoying the flow of life along the Khwai River.

A stay at Mogotlho Safari Lodge includes accommodation, all meals, water, soft drinks, beers, ciders, mixers, house wine, two shared safari activities per day, and laundry. Activities typically include game drives and, depending on conditions and water levels, other nature-based experiences in the surrounding area.

Mogotlho Safari Lodge welcomes children aged 7 and older. The lodge is well suited to families with older children who are interested in wildlife and comfortable in an unfenced safari environment. The lodge features two dedicated family tents, each accommodating two adults and two children.

Safari activities at Mogotlho include morning and afternoon game drives, as well as night drives that reveal the nocturnal side of the Khwai region. Guided bush walks may be offered when conditions and guide availability allow, providing a different perspective on the surrounding wilderness.

Mogotlho Safari Lodge is located on the banks of the Khwai River, an area recognised for consistently good game viewing. Guests can realistically expect to see elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hippo, and a wide range of antelope. Predator sightings are a highlight, with lion frequently encountered and leopard often seen. Spotted hyena and wild dog are also present in the area. Birdlife is excellent year-round, particularly along the river.

• May to August (cooler, dry winter): Mild daytime temperatures, cooler evenings, and excellent game viewing as wildlife concentrates near permanent water.

• November to March (green season): Warmer temperatures and occasional rains bring greener landscapes, fewer visitors, and excellent birding as migratory species arrive. Wildlife remains present, though movement can be more dispersed.
