Tafika Camp accommodates 14 guests in six spacious, thatched chalets (including a family chalet). The camp is built using natural materials and local skills and is testimony to the eco-friendly and sustainable ethos of the safari operation. All chalets, built around the trunks of huge sausage trees, have en-suite facilities with open showers and solar power.

Reaching the remote and enchanting Tafika Camp is an adventure in itself. You can access the camp from Mfuwe Airport, the gateway to South Luangwa National Park. There are daily scheduled flights to Mfuwe from both Livingstone and Lusaka Airport.

The road transfer from Mfuwe Airport to the camp typically takes between 1.5 to 2 hours. For those opting for a quicker route, a 15-minute flight from Mfuwe Airport to Mwanya (Lukuzi Airstrip) followed by a brief 15-minute road transfer will bring you to Tafika camp.

The best time to visit the Luangwa Valley is during the dry season between May and October. All outlying water dries up and forces game to congregate around watering holes and rivers, while the vegetation starts to thin out, making it easier to spot wildlife. Tafika Camp, operating seasonally, welcomes guests from May to mid-November. The latter part of the dry season is especially warm and offers prime wildlife sighting opportunities.

Accommodation, all meals, shared local road transfers from/to Mfuwe airport for incoming/outgoing flights and transfers to ongoing camp for guests staying +3 nights at Remote Africa Camps, bar (inclusive of house wine), laundry, game viewing activities (morning and afternoon / evening game drives, guided walking safaris, mountain biking safaris), cultural visit to local school/village.

Excludes:
Conservation, National Park and fixed fees (tourism levy and service charge), superior wines (available upon request), shared local road transfers from/to Mfuwe airport and ongoing camps for guests staying less than 3 nights at Remote Africa Camps.
