Mogotlho Safari Lodge, our Khwai safari lodge is situated on the banks of the Khwai River in the Mababe concession, nicely positioned between the wilderness gems of Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. A cultural experience in Khwai is an essential part to an authentic Botswana safari.
The Mababe concession also falls within the greater expanse of the famed Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage site, as well being part of the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area.
The concession is a community concession made up of around 200 households, the residents primarily from the Basarwa tribe, descendants of the Khoi San. Our lodge celebrates and support local culture and history and we are proud to showcase our partnership with the community from Mababe on a cultural experience. Mogotlho is forever nourishing and growing its community-based initiatives and our passionate team is made up of residents from nearby villages.
