Morning Game Drive: The Awakening of the Bush

As the afternoon heat fades, the bush comes alive once more. The golden light of the setting sun transforms the landscape, casting long shadows and illuminating the dust kicked up by herds of elephants, antelope, and buffalo. This is prime time for spotting big cats, as lions begin to stir, leopards emerge from their hidden perches, and cheetahs take advantage of the cooling temperatures to hunt.
The bush’s smaller, secretive creatures also make an appearance—watch for porcupines rustling through the undergrowth, civets and genets slinking through the shadows, and the haunting call of a spotted eagle-owl echoing through the trees.
